Edison Academy's Bistro 1093 to Reopen Thursday
Renovations to the new dining facility are complete.
The Edison Academy at Thomas Edison High School will reopen its Bistro 1093 for lunch Thursday after undergoing renovations to the dining facilities. Under the direction of Chef Glenn Walden, students will prepare three-course meals with a beverage—tea or coffee—beginning at 11:45 a.m.
Starting Jan. 10, Bistro 1093 will be open every Thursday for lunch. Those interested in dining at the bistro are asked to make a reservation by Monday prior to attending. To make reservations, contact the Academy Hospitality Management Instructor, Kim Galeano, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Take-out service is also available at Bistro 1093. The students ask that all patrons make a donation to cover the cost of their meal (minimum $8).
In the event of a two-hour school delay or closing on a Thursday, the Bistro will not open for lunch.
The Bistro 1093 menu for this Thursday is as follows:
Turkey wild rice soup, a rich turkey broth with vegetables and wild rice, or
Field greens salad, with roasted garlic balsamic vinaigrette or orange ginger vinaigrette.
Chicken breast parmesan with homemade pasta, lightly-breaded, pan-fried, topped with tomato sauce, provolone and parmesan cheese, or
Eggplant parmesan with homemade pasta, lightly-breaded, pan-fried, topped with tomato sauce, provolone and parmesan cheese.
New York style cheese cake, smooth and creamy with chantilly cream and raspberry and vanilla sauce, or
Raspberry lemon sponge cake, a sponge cake with raspberry preserves, lemon buttercream icing, white chocolate shavings, raspberry and vanilla sauce and chantilly cream.
