In a tough game Saturday night at Robinson Secondary School, the Edison High School Lady Eagles beat South Lakes High School, 60-52, becoming the northern regional champs. The girls took home the win after overcoming a double-digit deficit in the first half of the game.
The team previously won against Centreville High School 58-53, in the regional semi-finals Thursday night, and they also beat Hayfield Secondary School and Wakefield High School in the National District Tournament earlier this month.
After Saturday's big win, the team's overall season record is 23-4.
