UPDATE (8:30 p.m): Edsall Road between South Van Dorn Street and South Reynolds Street will remain closed until approximately noon Wednesday for completion of repairs related to Tuesday's water main break. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes for the Wednesday morning commute.

According to a notification from the City of Alexandria, Edsall Road is closed between S. Van Dorn and S. Reynolds streets. This is west of Cameron Station.

There is a water main break in the area. (The map at right shows the area of Edsall Road that is closed for water main repairs.)

Residents may experience low water pressure while Virginia American Water works to fix the water main.

Motorists may want to avoid that section of Edsall Road this morning.
