The Hayfield Hawks fell to the James Madison Warhawks (2-1) 24-17 on Friday. The Hawks are 2-1, and the loss can be attributed to turnovers and a blocked punt in the fourth quarter, which resulted in a Madison Touchdown.

"Nothing teaches you better than pain. It's the best teacher in the world," said Hayfield coach Roy Hill to his team after the game. "Hey, this is a man's sport and you've got to pick yourselves back up. Do you think Yorktown is going to feel sorry for us next week? I don't think so." 

The Hawks face Yorktown at home on Friday, Sept. 21. Gametime is 7:30 p.m.
