Alexandria Teen Receives National Honor

Sarah Parshley was recently recognized by the National Society of High School Scholars.

 

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) recently announced Parshley Family Home School student Sarah Parshley from Alexandria, has been selected for membership, according to a recent news release. The organization recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved superior academic excellence.

"On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment that Sarah has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence," said NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel. "Sarah is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future."

Membership with NSHSS allows qualified students to enjoy different benefits including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, free events, member-only resources and participation in programs offered by educational partners.

"Our vision is to build a dynamic international organization that connects members with meaningful content, resollrces, and opportunities," said NSHSS President James Lewis. "We aim to help students like Sarah, build on their academic successes and enhance the skills and desires to have a positive impact on the global community."

The NSHSS was formed in 2002, and currently there are more than 800,000 society members in more than 760 countries.
