The office building being built next to Kohl's is expected to finish in early 2013, according to its owner, the Halle Companies.

An advertisement for the 110,000 square foot, four-story building at 5680 King Centre Drive touts the location as the "perfect office space for defense contractors," pointing out the site's proximity to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency near Newington.

The building doesn't have any confirmed tenants so far, according to Jon Halle, a vice-president at the Halle Companies, although he does not expect the building to have vacancies. Halle said the site could have commercial space as well on its first floor, although the company is focusing on office clients for now.

"We want to see how our office leasing goes," Halle said.

Construction began on the site in the summer of 2011.
