A Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor was recently held for Thomas Edison High School student Emmanuel Lewis after he completed his Eagle Scout project in the Mount Vernon Lakes Community in mid-December.

The event took place in the Fellowship Hall of Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Gums Springs area of Alexandria. Vince Patton, Ed.D, a retired 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Coast Guard, was the keynote speaker.

During the ceremony, William T. Fauntroy Jr. also presented Lewis with a replica coin of the Congressional Medal of Honor from the East Coast Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen.
