Individual with felony warrants found in Springfield Plaza

Each week, Fairfax County police officers at the Franconia District Station release a blotter of crimes reported in the past week, and we highlight some of the most notable. Here's the blotter from April 24 - 30.

Marijuana Graffiti - On the 7400 block of Floyd Ave, on April 26, a marijuana leaf with the numbers "420" sprayed on the side of a pavilion.

Drugs - On April 30, an individual was found to have three active felony warrants in Fairfax County and was in possession of drugs. The incident occurred in the 6400 block of Springfield Plaza.

Annandale/Bren Mar

Larceny, 7000 BLOCK OF BRADDOCK RD, 4/29/11. Two individuals reported that their vehicle had been broken into; a bag containing a wallet and other personal belongings was stolen. Entry had been gained by smashing the front, passenger-side window.

Larceny, 7000 BLOCK OF BRADDOCK RD, 4/29/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find that the window had been smashed and her handbag was stolen.

Auto Theft, 7000 BLOCK OF LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 4/30/11. An individual reported that his vehicle was stolen.

Drugs, 6300 BLOCK OF EDSALL RD, 4/30/11. Two individuals were found to be in possession of marijuana.

 

East Springfield

Destruction, 7400 BLOCK OF FLOYD AVE, 4/26/11. A marijuana leaf with the numbers “420” was sprayed on the side of the pavilion in blue spray paint.

Drugs, 6100 BLOCK OF HIBBLING AVE, 4/26/11. An individual was found to be in a drug-induced stupor.

Larceny, 7400 BLOCK OF LOUGHBORO LN, 4/26/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find that it had been ransacked; cash and two check books were stolen from the center console.

Larceny, 7200 BLOCK OF OLD KEENE MILL RD, 4/27/11. An individual stole alcohol from a convenience store.

ABC Violation, 7000 BLOCK OF COMMERCE ST, 4/28/11. A cashier was issued a summons after she sold alcohol to an underage individual without asking for identification.

Fugitive, 6700 BLOCK OF BACKLICK RD, 4/28/11. Following a subject stop, the officer checked for warrants and found that one individual was wanted in Prince George’s County, Maryland, for larceny.

Larceny, 7200 BLOCK OF LAMAR DR, 4/29/11. An individual returned to his work van to find that the lock had been punched in and that several tools had been stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 BLOCK OF BRANDON AVE, 4/30/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find his car dented by a bag of rocks, which was left at the scene.

Drugs, 6400 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 4/30/11. An individual was found to have three active felony warrants in Fairfax County and was in possession of drugs.

Larceny, 6300 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 4/30/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6000 BLOCK OF HIBBLING AVE, 4/30/11. An individual returned to his vehicle and trailer to find that the trailer tag had been bent in half several times, which broke the fasteners off, in an attempt to steal it.

 

Franconia/Rose Hill

 Burglary, 6600 BLOCK OF ZEPHYR LN, 4/24/11. An individual returned home to find her front door open and that her wedding rings were missing.

Larceny, 5900 BLOCK OF COVERDALE WAY, 4/24/11. An individual’s bicycle was stolen from his second story balcony.

Larceny, 5700 BLOCK OF SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 4/24/11. Several individuals were reportedly taking tools out of a pickup truck and trailer in a motel parking lot.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/25/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/25/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6700 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/25/11. A store manager reported a theft that had taken place the day before, which was captured on video camera.

Burglary, 5900 BLOCK OF WESTCHESTER ST, 4/26/11. An individual reported that her home had been broken into. A lap top computer, net book, camcorder, digital camera, and jewelry were stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6500 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 4/26/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the window had been smashed out.

Drugs, 6000 BLOCK OF DEER RIDGE TRL, 4/26/11. An individual was determined to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/26/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6500 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 4/26/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find the front, passenger-side window had been smashed and her purse had been stolen.

Drugs, 6700 BLOCK OF METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 4/27/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5900 BLOCK OF DOVE DR, 4/27/11. An individual’s bike was stolen from his front yard.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/28/11. Four individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Burglary, 5400 BLOCK OF WAYCROSS DR, 4/29/11. An individual reported that his home had been broken into. Two lap top computers were stolen.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF FRONTIER DR, 4/29/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 3600 BLOCK OF ELMWOOD DR, 4/29/11. An individual reported that his trailer was broken into and items were stolen.

Drugs, FRONTIER DR / SPRING MALL RD, 4/30/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Forgery, 6400 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/30/11. An individual attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a department store.

Vehicle Tampering, 5900 BLOCK OF KIMBERLY ANNE WAY, 4/30/11. An individual reported that her vehicle had been keyed the night before.

 

Kingstowne

Larceny, 5800 BLOCK OF KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 4/24/11. A cab driver reported that he had picked up a customer in Washington, DC, and drove him to the Kingstowne area. The customer left the cab without paying the fare.

Larceny, 6500 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 4/25/11. An individual left her cell phone unattended while at a recreation center and returned to find the phone missing.

Larceny, 6000 BLOCK OF STODDARD CT, 4/25/11. An individual returned to her motorcycle to find that it had been damaged.

Destruction, 7600 BLOCK OF HAYFIELD RD, 4/26/11. Graffiti on playground equipment was reported.

Auto Theft, 6400 BLOCK OF ROCKSHIRE ST, 4/29/11. An individual reported that her vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot while she was visiting with a friend.

Larceny, 6000 BLOCK OF ASHBY HEIGHTS CIR, 4/29/11. An individual stole a bicycle from a house near a high school.

Destruction of Private Property, 8500 BLOCK OF BACKLICK RD, 4/30/11. A manager reported that someone had stolen 29 handheld computers from a docking station and had knocked over several bread racks.

Larceny, 7500 BLOCK OF AMESBURY CT, 4/30/11. An individual reported that her basement had been rummaged through; no signs of forced entry. The individual also noted that a spare key had been missing since last month.


Lorton

Drunk in Public, 9800 BLOCK OF GUNSTON RD, 4/25/11. A customer was extremely intoxicated and was becoming aggressive with customers.

ABC Violation, 7700 BLOCK OF GUNSTON PLZ, 4/28/11. A cashier was issued a summons after she sold alcohol to an individual without asking for identification.

Larceny, 9800 BLOCK OF HAGEL CIR, 4/28/11. An individual reported that his iPod had been stolen from his home.

Disorderly Conduct, LORTON RD / LORTON MARKET ST, 4/29/11. An altercation had taken place between two individuals on a bus.

Drugs, 8000 BLOCK OF LORTON RD, 4/29/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Auto Theft, 7700 BLOCK OF GUNSTON PLZ, 4/30/11. An individual attempted to title a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier this month.

Drugs, LAGRANGE ST / POLLEN ST, 4/30/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
