Police: Peeping Incident Reported in Springfield Area

The following items are from recent police updates through Dec. 19 from the Franconia Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Peeping (red on map), 1 a.m., Dec. 18, 6000 block of Essex House Square, A 47-year-old victim reported she woke up on her couch and saw man standing at her sliding door looking at her. He fled prior to police arrival.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Burglary (blue on map), 8:45 p.m., Dec. 18, 5600 block of Brookland Court, A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. Entry was made through an unsecured rear door.

- 6800 block of Commerce Street - cell phone from business
- 5800 block of Craig Street - tools from vehicle
- 6000 block of Edgeware Lane - golf cart from business
- 6800 block of Ericka Avenue - license plate from vehicle
- 6500 block of Franconia Road - packages from residence
- 6500 block of Frontier Drive - mugs from business
- 6500 block of Frontier Drive - purse from vehicle
- 7100 block of Old Keene Mill Road - cell phone from residence
- 6100 block of Pioneer Drive - bicycle from residence
- 7100 block of Rock Ridge Lane - gun from vehicle
- 6600 block of Springfield Mall - wallet from business
- 5800 block of Tilbury Road - copper wire from construction site
Vehicle Thefts (yellow on map):
- 7000 block of Calamo Street - 2000 Dodge Caravan
- 6100 block of Cumberland Avenue - 1986 Dodge Caravan
