Police: Robbery Reported Near Kingstowne Boulevard

On the above map, the addresses are block numbers, not specific home or business addresses.

The following items are from recent police updates through Dec. 12 from the Franconia Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Robbery (red on map), 11:45 a.m., 12/11/12, Kingstowne Boulevard/South Van Dorn Street, A 17-year-old reported she was walking on the path when she saw three men ahead of her stop. They were wearing ski masks and demanded her money. They fled with cash and she was not injured.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Burglary (blue on map), 2:30 a.m., 12/11/12, 6200 block of Villa Street, A resident reported someone entered his home and stole a laptop computer. Entry was made through an unsecured window.

Burglary (blue on map), 3 a.m., 12/12/12, 5500 block of Dunsmore Road, A resident reported someone entered his home and stole cash. Entry was made through an unsecured garage door.

Larcenies (green on map):

  • 6100 block of Franconia Road - merchandise from business
  • 5800 block of Kingstowne Boulevard - cash from business
  • 7000 block of Manchester Boulevard - merchandise from business
  • 7400 block of Oriole Avenue - tools from vehicle
  • 6600 block of Springfield Mall - cell phone from business
  • 6900 block of Telegraph Road - power compaction tool from vehicle

No vehicle thefts were reported at the time.
