I go to Linda at Head Turners on Franconia Road, next to the Government Center. Linda is the nicest, sweetest person, and I can trust that whatever cut she gives my hair, I will leave there with a good cut. She also opens early for us working folks - I can jump out of bed and let her style my hair, leaving me enough time to get to work as if it were a regular day.

This is a joke. There are NO good hair salons in Kingstown. The only one worth going to is in Fairfax, Reflections of You. I moved from Los Angeles about 3 years ago and I was appalled at the lack of beauty services in the area.

My vote is for Hair Magic located on Telegraph Rd in the Giant Shopping Center. Great service and highly skilled staff, I have been a regular customer for over three years and am so happy to have finally found stylist I can trust.

James Books is the best barber of all time! He has a MS in psychology from the University of Maryland, he is intelligent, friendly, and loves to talk about the most interesting topics. Crystal at Allure turned my hair green and yellow last week. And then the salon didn't know how to fix it. There was no manager at the place that day. I was supposed to be blonde, and ended up with green and yellow hair. I had to go home and dye it brown to fix it. Worst salon ever.

Manchester Lakes Barber Shop. Ming opened in 1992 and runs a very impressive business. She remembers your name and cuts all types of hair. Also, Bob works the last chair and is very good.

DEFINITELY HAIR MAGIC!!!!! Easy parking, great service and they make my hair wonderful. Everyone who works there is very talented, plus everyone is so nice and friendly that it makes you want to stay! I will never go to another salon as long as there is Hair Magic :)
