Sports Bar, Spa, Elevation Burger Set for Hilltop Village Center
Developers say site is 65 percent leased
Although most of the curiosity surrounding the opening of the new Hilltop Village Center surrounds Wegmans, the mega-popular national grocery store, there are lots of other new businesses also set to locate there, according to marketing materials available from developer Weingarten Realty of Houston.
Plans for the new 272,411-square foot Hilltop Village shopping center, located at Beulah and Telegraph roads, show that area residents will have some new choices when it comes to dining, relaxing and other services.
The center will consist of 250,000 square feet of retail development and 100,000 square feet of office development (a 90,000-square foot office building and other second-story office space above the retail shops), according to KLNB Retail, a local commercial real estate services company.
Houston-based Weingarten Realty recently detailed some of the businesses that will be located in the center, to be anchored by Wegmans.
The other tenants at the center will include:
- Elevation Burger: This burger restaurant features organic grass-fed beef; several are locations in Northern Virginia.
- Panda Express: Gourmet Chinese food
- Massage Envy: With at least 15 locations already in Northern Virginia, this will be a spot where you can choose from a variety of massages and facials. Introductory one-hour massages are $49; facials are $59.
- The Green Turtle Sports Bar & Grille: First opened in 1976 with a sports bar in Ocean City, Md., this franchise-run chain was voted in June best place to watch the Redskins.
- Vichelle's Hair Styling: A locally owned hair salon, currently at Hayfield Center, is owned by best friends Michelle Anderson and Vickey Hook. They combined their first names, Michelle and Vickey, and named their business Vichelle's.
- A spa is also noted in marketing materials but the name of the spa is not.
Other services and stores for the new shopping center, according to the Weingarten Realty plans, will include a dental office, Verizon Wireless, Mattress Warehouse, and two banks: BB&T and PNC.
Weingarten has partnered with Hilltop Sand and Gravel on the project.
Others on the team are L.F. Jennings, of Falls Church, the general contractor on the development, Rounds Vandazur Architects of Falls Church, in charge of design and Dewberry Engineers of Fairfax.

The owners, their team and our community have put enormous time and effort into this economic development and jobs creation. Many people are looking forward to the grand opening in 2014. I am one.
Elevation Burger also cooks with a healthier choice: olive oil. I hope we have a pet adoption center rather than a pet store.
Thank you, Mary Ann for the excellent report.

Would love to see a different Steak House. We have Outback and Mike's and even Shiro's and they're all great but a LongHorn or some sort of Roadhouse that offers good steaks and seafood too. A good bakery would be VERY welcome too. These things are missing in Kingstowne.

Dear all:
Everyone I have spoken with in Kingstowne and Landsdowne community have expressed their desire for a health Spa with indoor swimming pool for all year around use whether rain, snow, etc. This is something everyone is expressing a great concern on their community wish list to become a reality. The SPA will absolutely flourish and prosper financially!
Another highly discussed topic is several meaning a majority of residents are also questioning if a Trader Joe's shopping store can be built within the new project. Besides Wegmans being No 1, Trader Joe's is also equipped with high quality of food products, etc being rated immediately after Wegmans as best food store in community under construction. Please consider these requests with great respect for it is the will of the people who will make the entire shopping area a success. Remember the saying, Customers Always First!! Thank you for your time.

A Trader Joe's would be FANTASTIC!!! Still can't wait for Wegman's but having both Trader Joe's and Wegman's there would be the best! Now.. how about a good Roadhouse or Steak place? We have mattress places here already and BB&T is already in the are x2. Pizza places are already here too. How many more burger places can one community take? I do agree maybe a different gym (we already have 2 but something different and fun). You want good Chinese food? go to the House of Dynasty .. you can't beat them!
Just some thoughts. : )

I agree with Ms Maas. What was meant to be stated in my message is, of course in addition to Wegmans a Trader Joe's store would be fantastic for the community according to the people's wish. Ms Maas thanks for correcting me in my message.
