After years of planning and fundraising and several months of construction, the Family Recreation Area at Lee District Park opened on Saturday May 21, 2011. 

The Treehouse overlooks a forest and stream valley and can be entered from gently sloping ramps accessible to those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. 

The "Our Special Harbor" sprayground is the first of its kind in the region. It is designed specifically for individuals with disabilities.
