Police Seek Information About Hayfield Fugitive
Wesley Thomason was recently found in Mexico after fleeing the country 12 years ago.
The Fairfax County Police Department is seeking information about Wesley Thomason, 39, a fugitive from the 5000 block of Bond Court in Hayfield who was extradited back to Fairfax County from California on July 31 after being on the run for 12 years.
According to a statement released by the police, Thomason was originally arrested on Nov. 21, 2000 for "allegedly providing illegal drugs to minors and filming himself engaged in sexual acts with more than one minor."
Thomason fled Fairfax County before appearing in court, and earlier this year, the United States Marshal Service and the Fairfax County Fugitive Task Force were led to believe that he was living in Mexico. After Mexican authorities apprehended him, Thomason was sent to California on July 20.
He is now in jail in Fairfax County due to a bench warrant from previous charges of "carnal knowledge, manufacturing sexually explicit material involving a minor, possession of cocaine and indecent liberties."
Detectives are seeking information about other victims and/or how Thomason was able to flee the country and survive in Mexico for 12 years.
