About this column:

Each week, we bring you an adoptable pet in a video shot by members of the Animal Welfare League
In this week's Patch Pets Suzanne D'Alonzo and Carrie Drummond introduce us to Quasimodo—one of the shelter's three ferrets available for adoption. As most ferrets, Quasimodo loves to play in blue jeans, (detached) dryer tubes, and water. He loves to be let lose to explore. If you're interested in adopting this pet or another, call the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria at (703) 838-4775 or stop by the shelter at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue.
In this week's Patch Pets, Carrie Drummond introduces us to J.J., a nine-year-old tabby cat. J.J.'s owner passed away, and the cat didn't along well with his new owner's dog. This brought J.J. to the animal shelter's administrative office where he's taken a perch overlooking a window. If you're interested in adopting this pet or another, call the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria at (703) 838-4775 or stop by the shelter at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue.

The gang's all here: T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli. No, not the R&B band from the 90s—and from the grave in Left Eye's case—but a trio of female gerbils that recently arrived at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Suzanne introduces us to the sisters as they roll around in chinchilla dust—ground up volcanic rock—to keep their coats from getting too greasy.

In this week's Patch Pets, Suzanne D'Alonzo introduces us to a Cyndi Hopper, a crazy-haired Lionhead rabbit.
