Kids Community Day to Help Sandy Victims
Kids Sending Smiles Community Day to Assist Hurricane Sandy Victims
Kids Sending Smiles, a non-profit organization created and
run by elementary school kids, organized a community event to provide direct support to people displaced by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey and New York. Kids Sending Smiles will be raking leaves in the Landsdowne Community to support local food pantries in the hardest hit areas of New Jersey and New York. We will also have a bake sale and a table set up where children can draw pictures and write letters to hurricane victims. These pictures will be displayed at the community soup kitchens that are working to provide meals to those in need. All donations received will go to the Ocean County Hunger Relief in Toms River, NJ, the Food Bank of South Jersey in Pennsauken, NJ and Project Hospitality in Staten Island, NY. All donations are tax deductible.
Sign Up to Have Your Yard Raked
If you live in Landsdowne and would like to have your yard
raked, please contact us at email@example.com
to sign up. Kids Sending Smiles will accommodate requests on a first come, first serve basis. Tax deductible donations can be paid by cash or check.
Adult and Kid Volunteers Needed to Rake Leaves
If you have the time, please consider joining our team of
children who are already committed to this project. We are looking for adults and kids to help the kids and help us accommodate all leaf-raking requests. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to rake leaves. Please meet at the Landsdowne Pool Parking Lot at 7:30 am and bring your own rake.
Come Purchase Delicious Treats
Please visit our bake stand at the Landsdowne Pool and
purchase some delicious cookies, brownies and cupcakes or just make a tax deductible donation.
