The Summer Reading Program runs June 21 to Sept. 3. Beginning June 21 students can register online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library or in branches. Last year more than 47,000 children participated in the library’s Summer Reading Program. In addition to encouraging children to read throughout the summer, the Summer Reading Program offers fun activities for every age group. Some of the activities include forensic mysteries; wacky scientists; magicians and puppet shows; pranks, tricks and stunts; beadwork and jewelry making; spycraft; yoga; book clubs and more. More About John Marshall Community Library
The John Marshall Library originally opened in the Rose Hill Shopping Center in April 1963, but it has been at its current location since February of 1975. The library has a large collection and a helpful staff, as well as work stations with Internet access. A meeting room is available for nonprofit organizations to reserve.
