Our very own Dixie Eng, General Manager of our Springfield pet resort, is delighted to have been one of several folks to endorse the recently published book by respected etiquette expert and author of nine books, Mary M. Mitchell.

The book Dixie has recently endorsed, entitled Woofs to the Wise: Learning to Lick at Life and Chew on Civility, begins when Nessa, a woman from Philadelphia, visits her best friend, Mary, in Seattle. The two women hit it off, but are very different in their personalities. Mary’s patience and humor are tested, and she confides in her six-year old French Bulldog, ZsaZsa Pooch, to speak for her.

The Woofs to the Wise book signing is a free, dog-friendly event. This means absolutely do bring along dogs, kids, family and friends! No RSVP required!

Also in tow for the event is local culinary dog chef Kevyn Mathews, aka The Dog Chef, who will be on hand with canine holiday treats. Pet parents can enjoy hot mulled apple cider and light hors d’oeuvres. Profits from Mary’s Woof to the Wise book go to The Philadelphia Foundation for arts education of middle school children.
