Home Energy Workshop

Sunday, June 29 at 11:15 a.m., Christ Church is hosting a home energy workshop conducted by the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP—a non-profit organization which helps homeowners save energy), and Interfaith Power & Light (a national religious group responding to global warming by promoting energy conservation and efficiency, as well as renewable energy). This workshop is free and open to the public. Learn how electricity is produced, and practical steps to conserve energy at home. As a result, reduce your carbon footprint, help create green jobs, and quite probably conserve your own financial resources. The Christ Church Environmental Stewardship Committee proposed the workshop to further the goal of helping to develop each person’s ability to be a good steward of God’s creation and to see how one’s actions may have an impact on the world. Christ Church, 118 N. Washington St., Alexandria, VA, 703-549-1450. www.historicchristchurch.org. parishlife@ccalex.org.
