Celebrate National Pi Day in Kingstowne

Pi Day was passed by Congress in 2009.

It's National Pi Day!

National Pi Day occurs annually on March 14 — 3.14 — the first three digits of pi, which is equal to the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Want to know more? Ask your FCPS student — there is a good chance they are marking the day with a Pi contest (or a Pie contest. It's all about the snacks, too) or visit PIDAY.ORG

The recognition of Pi Day was actually passed by Congress in 2009.

For those not so mathematically inclined, celebrate Pi with pie, of course. The Kingstowne and Rose Hill areas don't have many places to get a slice of delicious dessert, but Grounded Coffee Shop is probably the best place to find something sweet and National Pi Day is the best excuse to treat yourself.

If you're not interested in dessert, you can certainly celebrate Pi Day with pizza pie! The best places in Kingstowne and Rose Hill for that:
