Community Corner

Wednesday Club for Children

Wednesday Club is open to all children in our community, kindergarten through sixth grade. Wednesday Club helps nurture and build strong relationships between our elementary-age children and Jesus Christ, helping them to develop into lifelong believers and disciples of Christ. This ministry bridges connections among various age groups within the congregation and community thanks to a large team of volunteers.

Wednesday Club has four components:

Recreation: Young children participate in games and various crafts.  Children grades 4-6 participate in our Handbell program learning songs for Wednesday Club Worship, Sunday worship, and other events.

Church Family Time: Each Wednesday we share dinner together at tables with loving adults who want to ask about their day at school and about their favorite sport or activity.  We also celebrate birthdays each month.

Worship: We gather for worship each week where we sing songs, pray, and learn how to worship.  A short and engaging message is given that is applicable to the lives of children.  A small offering is taken to help a mission project for the year.  This year we are supporting local hospitals providing care for children with cancer.

Bible Study: Children are divided into classes by grade to finish off the night.  Here they are taught by our high school students and adult volunteers about the stories in the Bible.

The sixth grade participants (The Club Crew) also have a chance to take on leadership roles with the younger children.

All are welcome.  Please join us this Wednesday!
