Kingstowne Dodges Snowstorm
Area saw flurries when larger storm veered away from D.C.
Kingstowne dodged a large snowstorm Sunday but stil contended with flurries. Residents drove carefully and were busy shopping at Wal-Mart, Kohl's and other shopping centers.
Snow plow trucks could be seen throughout Kingstowne either driving or idling on side roads, waiting for more snow that hadn't materialized by dusk. Some roads were powdered with sand.
Federal offices were expected to open on time Monday, according to a release from the Office of Personnel Management.
