In Photos: Fairfax City's Independence Day Parade

Thousands turned out for the festive 4th of July parade in Old Town.

The sun was shining Thursday morning as thousands descended upon Old Town in Fairfax City for the annual Independence Day Parade.

Marching bands, floats, balloons and officials from the City, County and Commonwealth of Virginia marched through Old Town to the applause of thousands of families who crowded along the sidewalks.
