Community Corner

Library Events in September

Have you heard the news about All Fairfax Reads?

All Fairfax Reads, now in its eighth year, is a “one book, one community” project intended to encourage all Fairfax County residents to read and discuss the same book at the same time. A book is selected each year in May for all of Fairfax County to read, and the club culminates its book journey each September with a "Meet the Author" event.

This year’s selection is the memoir, Little Princes: One Man’s Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal by Conor Grennan. The Fairfax Library Foundation, Friends of the Reston Regional Library and Fall For the Book are proud sponsors of this initiative that encourages reading, conversation and connections.

Learn more about Fall for the Book and their annual weeklong regional festival scheduled this year from Sep. 18 to Sep. 23.
