Metro Fine Arts Center Offers Metro Barre Classes

New fitness trend is now offered locally, and your first class is free.

The Metropolitan Fine Arts Center is now offering Metro Barre classes — a workout that combines ballet barre, yoga and pilates to form a comprehensive workout to build leaner muscles. MFAC will offer the first class for free.

“Metro Barre is the perfect mix of core and strength training, blended with the barre training that until now, was only used in dance instruction,” said Melissa Dobbs, founder and executive director of MFAC of Alexandria and Fairfax Station.

Metro Barre classes lengthen and sculpt muscles and have been referred to as a "transformational workout." After your initial Metro Barre class, cost ranges from $11 to $15.
