Metro Fine Arts to Hold 'Dance Your Heart Out' in February

Next month is National Heart Month.

For National Heart Month, the Metropolitan Fine Arts Center of Alexandria and Fairfax Station has organized a fundraiser called "Dance Your Heart Out" in February and will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the American Heart Association.

“Dance is one of the best ways to keep your heart in tip-top shape and we’re thrilled to be able to give back to the American Heart Association as they continue to raise awareness about heart disease,” said Melissa Dobbs, founder and executive director of MFAC, in a recent news release.

The event offers unlimited adult dance as well as mind and body classes throughout the month for $110. (Normally, the fee for 10 adult classes is $130.) The campaign features all dance classes, including Metro Barre and yoga.
