Photo Gallery: First Snow of Winter 2010

A series of photographs documenting today's snow around the area.

Today we got this winter's first legitimate snow, and sure enough, Rose Hill Patch was out and about getting some photographs of the conditions.

Franconia and Telegraph Roads had been plowed as of noon, and cars were moving slowly along both roads. As of around 1:30 p.m., there were no accidents on either road and plows were out sanding and clearing them for drivers.

No more than three inches is expected to fall by the end of Thursday, and the National Weather Service expects sunshine tomorrow and temperatures above freezing for the next five days.
