The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Thursday, and snow plow drivers waited patiently for the first sign of snowflakes. Alan Day with Colton Enterprises said they never know how long they could be waiting.

Many of the workers retreated to the inside of their trucks to avoid the cold while waiting for the snow Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service canceled the weather advisory around the time we took these photos.
