TopGolf will host its second annual "Suits and Boots" party event to raise funds for the non-profit organization Blessings in a Backpack from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. During the event, participants will wear swimsuits, winter boots, hats and scarves in the middle of winter while playing golf for prizes.
According to a recent news release, TopGolf is expecting about 1,000 Northern Virginia and D.C.-area residents to participate in the event to benefit the organization. Players will have the opportunity to win concert tickets, hotel stays and more.
Blessings in a Backpack is a results-oriented program that is designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federally funded National School Lunch program and have little or no food on the weekends. A percentage of the ticket sales from "Suits and Boots" will benefit Blessings in a Backpack.
