Convictus is made up of local musicians, John Patrick (drums), John Bevans (guitar), Stephen Sellman (bass), Rick Irby (guitar/vocals) and Mark Ellmore (singer/song writer) who was a candidate for the U.S. Congress in 2008. Convictus is known for mixing old classics with their original music that is reminiscent of '80s metal, and they are considered the area's premier concert band. All members have a day job in the music field except Elmore who is a mortgage loan officer. But at night, the members get together to play rocking music throughout the northern Virginia region.
