Construction Underway for New Huntington Apartment Building
Building is slated to open in Spring 2015.
MRP Realty tore down a 40-year-old office building located immediately adjacent to the Huntington Metro station on Huntington Avenue, and is in the process of constructing a 360-unit, 5 story multifamily residential development, according to the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation. Phase 2, to be built in the future, will include a 15-story, 210,000 square-foot office building with ground floor retail and a 150-room hotel.
The rezoning for this development was approved in November 2012. Construction is officially underway for the apartments and parking garage. The building is being constructed by the Bozzuto Group.
Features and amenities of The Parker (formerly known as The View) will include walk-in closets, granite countertops, residential lounge, fitness center, swimming pool and sun deck, landscaped courtyard with grills, and a 24-hour wifi business center.
