Delays Continue for Burger King Delivery in Kingstowne

Delay blamed on high demand

Will Kingstowne residents never be able to order, pay for, and eat a Whopper without ever getting out of their pajamas?

Last month, Burger King that the Kingstowne franchise at 5890 Kingstowne Center had been chosen to participate in a trial program of its new delivery service. Deliveries were supposed to start on January 23, then January 30. Currently, the delivery service's website says only that Kingstowne delivery is "Coming Soon."

Burger King spokeswoman Kristen Hauser writes in an email to Patch that delivery will start February 7 at the Kingstowne Burger King. Because of high demand, the service had been delayed.

"The brand wants to ensure each participating location is fully prepared to handle their traffic efficiently and flawlessly," Hauser writes. "As a result, we have delayed the activation of the Alexandria location."
