Community members are invited to dine at Dishes of India in Alexandria on Tuesday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., when 10 percent of meal sales will be donated to benefit United Community Ministries (UCM). The donation percentage applies to both dine in and carry out. When you arrive, simply let your server know that you are there to help UCM support local families in need. About United Community Ministries: UCM helps community members fight poverty, hunger and homelessness by providing emergency food and financial assistance, quality early childhood education, employment services, community centers and other human services. While people come to UCM for help with practical needs, they receive much more than just financial assistance or food. UCM is a place where people can regain the hope they need to build a better future for themselves and a stronger community for us all.
