Fiona's Irish Pub to Open Its Doors Sunday in Kingstowne

A Facebook friend who has tried the menu wrote: "We had the baked cornflake brie with gala apples (to die for) Beer battered shrimp, Bone in pork chop mushroom gravy, and an Irish Seafood Stew."

The long wait is over, lads and lasses of Kingstowne.

Fiona's Irish Pub is set to open its doors to the public Sunday at 11 a.m., the restaurant confirmed in a phone call Friday night. The hours on Sunday will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is located at 5810 Kingstowne Center, across from TopGolf.

The menu posted on the restaurant's Facebook page is still from the previous restaurant, but we found a tasty morsel from one of the more than 1,000 Facebook friends on the site, who apparently tried out the menu recently:

A comment posted by "Kelly," on Thursday says: "We had the baked cornflake brie with gala apples (to die for) Beer battered shrimp, Bone in pork chop mushroom gravy, and an Irish Seafood Stew."

The restaurant's owner is Martin White, who served as the grand marshal of this year's St. Patrick's Day parade in Old Town Alexandria; he  hails from Dublin, Ireland.

“I am truly living the American dream," White, who became a U.S. citizen in 1996, said at the time. "My desire is to continue to pass my good fortune forward through ongoing support of the local and Irish community."
