Grounded Coffee Shop Hosts Holiday Bazaar Saturday

Local artisans and craftsmen will sell their work.

Do you still need to do your Christmas shopping but don’t want to deal with big box stores? Then swing by ’s Holiday Craft Bazaar this Saturday.

From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, shoppers can find a selection of handcrafted silver jewelry, as well as sewed, knitted and crocheted items. There will also be photography on sale, according to the Grounded Coffee Shop e-newsletter, and much, much more.

Grounded co-owner Candy Briffa said the shop has been hosting bazaars since it opened in 2008. This will be the fourth Holiday Craft Bazaar. Grounded also hosts craft events in the spring and fall.

“There will be one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays,” Briffa said.

Briffa’s reason for hosting the events is simple – she wants to support local artisans and craftsmen.

“A lot of them are people I’ve talked to or people who have come into the shop,” she said.

But Briffa isn’t just a host; she’s also an enthusiastic customer.

“I like going to them, but I never make it to them,” Briffa said, “so I thought I’d bring them to me.”
