Seafood, lamb and beef are just a few of the signature dishes Martin White is touting as the staples of his latest endeavor Fiona's Irish Pub. The King Street Blues owner closed the restaurant after 15 years and he believes patrons will enjoy the new place.

White took a break from working on Fiona's to explain his decision to open a pub and what people can expect from it.

"When I got into the restaurant business I had a dream of one day opening an Irish pub with really great, fresh food," said White. "My vision was to create an authentic Irish pub and restaurant similar to pubs I enjoyed growing up in Dublin."

Fiona's Irish Pub will feature new amenities including a kitchen, furniture and patio. The grand opening is scheduled for March 10th.

"I received emails and text messages from customers who frequented King Street Blues congratulating me on the move," said White. "Most of the comments have been positive and they are eagerly awaiting the opening."

All of the food will be made in house and customers can choose from an assortment of homemade soups and beers.

"Fiona's will have a great atmosphere for people to eat great food, mingle and watch the game," said White. "I want it to become a popular destination in the Kingstowne community."
