King's Buffet Closed for Good in Kingstowne

Restaurant may be replaced by a pizza shop.

King's Buffet closed for renovations early in the summer, but never reopened.

An employee at AT&T said on Monday that they've been told the restaurant is closed for good and will not return as the owners planned. Halle Companies confirmed this summer that the owners were negotiating the lease for the space, and it seems they were unable to come to a resolution.

Surrounding tenants said a pizza place may replace the Asian restaurant. However, the name of the business has not been confirmed. Besides a possible new pizza option in Kingstowne, local residents will also have a new option for pastries, breakfast and coffee when La Madeleine opens in the shopping center in 2014.
