Namaste Offers Authentic Indian and Nepalese Dining Option for Rose Hill

The restaurant has been open for two weeks in Rose Hill and offers authentic Indian, Nepalese, and Indo-Chinese cuisine.

Namaste — the new addition to Rose Hill Plaza — opened Aug. 23, presenting another delicious dining option for the Kingstowne and Rose Hill area. The restaurant offers Indian, Nepalese and Indo-Chinese cuisine. Namaste is located at 6138 Rose Hill Drive.

Atma Ram, one of the three owners, said they looked in the Rose Hill area and were sold on its beauty and the surrounding neighborhoods.

"We looked around and saw that it's a beautiful area. We also liked the neighborhood. It's just a really nice neighborhood," Ram said.

Ram owns the restaurant with Raj Chaulagain and Head Chef Nabin Paudal. Ram said they have only been open for two weeks but received a full house of customers last week Friday and expect their customer base to continue to grow over the next few months. They definitely expect to see more faces when they acquire their liquor license in the next few weeks.

So far, their most popular dish is the mo mo dumplings, which Ram said you can't just get anywhere in this area.

Namaste — which means "welcome" or "first greeting" — also offers delicious lamb curry, chicken curry, potato bonde, tandoori chicken and other popular Indian and Nepalese dishes.

The restaurant is open for lunch buffet every day from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. They also offer a wonderful dinner service from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday to Saturday. Namaste accepts orders for delivery and for carry out.

In the future, Ram said they hope to offer catering services as well. At the moment, Namaste has seven employees, but are also looking to hire more people.

If you're looking to try something new or for a restaurant that offers authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine, Namaste's menu is a surprisingly delicious option as every dish is bursting with flavor, color and mouth-watering spices.
