So Happy to See Spring

A welcome to the season of all things green and full of life.

A lot of people that live in our area are not from here. I'm not from here either. I'm from the Virginia Beach area, so I'm not that much of a transplant, but a transplant still.

I admit, we had a mild winter. But you know what? That's just fine by me! I'm a summer girl to the core.

So I was so happy this past weekend when my husband and I were able to get flowers planted on the porch of our apartment.  We live in the Residences at Springfield Station, between the Springfield Mall and the Franconia-Springfield Metro station.

Our porch faces the mall, whatever direction that is is the direction that does not get a lot of direct sunlight. But we do get some sun in the morning.  We like to be the people with the pretty porch.

We're back! And this year, for the first time we have a couple of mini-azalea bushes.  And I have some herbs and lettuce. Wish us lucky green thumbs and lots of sun!

Cheers to Spring!
