American Jobs Act Goes to Congress
RHCA meeting scheduled, Bavarian music in Market Square.

- Mark your calendar. The next Rose Hill Civic Association meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the John Marshall Library.
- On this day in 1974, Eric Clapton’s version of Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff” hit No. 1 on the music charts.
- From 5 to 6 p.m. in Market Square on King Street, Jugendblaskapelle Maisach will play typical Bavarian music, polkas and waltzes for your listening and dancing enjoyment. This event is free.
- President Obama sent his jobs bill, The American Jobs Act, to Congress and they’ve got some questions for him. Namely, how he intends to pay for the measures outlined in his bill. Republicans are insistent that if tax increases are his funding source, the bill won’t get very far.
