Five Things: Heat Wave Continues, Telegraph Road Closures

Screen on the Green starts next Monday.

  1. Today will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high temperature hear 104. There will be a widespread haze before noon, and heat index values could reach 118.
  2. Evan Moss, a 7-year-old boy with epilepsy, will hold a fundraiser this Sunday, July 24, to raise money for a service dog. Check out our about Evan and the book he wrote. 
  3. Screen on the Green starts next Monday. If you've never been, make plans to go on a Monday between now and August 15. It's one of the great D.C. experiences.
  4. The Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project will be conducting significant Capital Beltway and Telegraph Road closures this weekend. For more details, see our article on the road construction schedule.
