Flood Watch Declared for Wednesday

Find out if your home or work is on a floodplain

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Alexandria area. There could be up to three inches of rain.

The flood watch is in effect from 6:00 p.m. Wednesday until midnight on Friday.

Kingstowne has few floodplains, but some areas south of Telegraph and west of Backlick Rd. and south of 7100 are listed as floodplains. To find out if your house or work is in a floodplain, use Fairfax County's My Neighborhood mapping system.
