Rose Hill Roadways: Telegraph Road Closures This Week

The latest construction news for the week of October 17-22 including expected traffic light outage overnight on Telegraph Road.

Telegraph Road Area Closures:

Monday, Oct. 17 through Thursday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Daily:

  •  The on-ramp from Telegraph Road South to the Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 North to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.
  •  The on-ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should continue to Duke Street East to U.S. Route 1 South to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.

Tuesday, Oct. 18 overnight from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning:

  •  There will be Telegraph Road South lane closures, with a complete closure for about 10 minutes just after midnight, for work on traffic lights at Huntington Avenue.  The traffic lights at this intersection will not be operating for about three hours during this window; during that time police will be present to direct traffic. 

Capital Beltway Closures and Construction Detours: 

I-395 north at I-495: Right lane closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work.

I-495 Inner Loop to I-395 north: Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Detour: Traffic will be directed to continue on the Inner Loop to Exit 54A, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south (Outer Loop) and then signs to I-395 north.

I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) at I-395: Road closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Detour: Traffic will be directed to take Exit 170, I-395 north to Exit 2, Edsall Rd. west, stay to the right, follow signs to I-395 south and then signs to I-495 Inner Loop.

I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) to Exit 169 B/A, Franconia/Springfield (Route 644): Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work.
