Voter Registration Deadline is Today

Register today to vote in Nov. 8 elections, Dr. King's Memorial is dedicated.

Here are five things our readers should know today. If you have an event you'd like for us to feature, please submit it in the comments section below and check back tomorrow to see if your event made the list.

  5. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial was dedicated yesterday  President Obama, one among the star-studded list of speakers and performers, spoke to thousands who gathered at the first memorial on the Mall to honor an African-American.
