Weekly Top Stories: Overturned Vehicle in Fort Hunt, Car Crash in Burke, and FBI HQ Update

Here are the top Patch stories of the past week in and around your area.

A driver was rescued from an overturned vehicle Wednesday night at 8600 Plymouth Road, according to a spokeswoman from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to a call at 8:04 p.m. and were on the scene Wednesday night of the single vehicle accident in Fort Hunt. The location is near Plymouth Haven Baptist Church.

Car Crash on New England Woods Drive Injures Five

Two adults and three children were injured in Burke Tuesday evening following a partial head-on collision on New England Woods Drive, near Burke Centre Parkway.

According to a police spokesman, a 67-year-old male was traveling southbound on New England Woods Drive in a Honda Accord when he crossed the double line and partially collided with a Hyundai traveling northbound on New England Woods Drive around 7 p.m.

Montgomery County Out as Potential HQ for FBI; Moran Touts Springfield Before Congress

The agency in charge of reviewing sites for the new location of FBI headquarters is currently reviewing responses to the recent request for information (RFI). According to the Office of Supervisor Jeff McKay, about 35 responses were received.

One of the six potential sites being considered is located in the Springfield area across from the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station. The new FBI facility will be the work location for about 11,000 people, according to The Huffington Post.

Springfield has one less entity competing for the headquarters.

Crime Report: Teenager Charged with DWI on St. Patrick's Day Weekend

DWI/Foot Pursuit, 7200 block of Beverly Manor Drive (green on map), 3/16/13, 4:20 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop for an alleged drunk driver. The vehicle pulled over, the driver exited and ran from the vehicle. The helicopter and a K-9 team assisted in locating the suspect. Hoai Tran, 19, of Falls Church, was charged with DWI, disregard police officer to stop, obstruction of justice and driving on a suspended license.

Congressman Frank Wolf: Chinese National Possibly Involved in NASA Langley Security Violations

Congressman Frank Wolf (R-10th), chairman of the House Appropriations subcommittee that funds NASA, Monday held a press conference revealing a new development concerning a Chinese national allegedly involved in security violations at several NASA centers.

The FBI arrested Bo Jiang, the Chinese national scientist employed by a NASA contractor for work at the space agency's Langley Research Center, over the weekend at Dulles International Airport as he tried to flee to China, according to Wolf, who uploaded a copy of the arrest warrant on his official congressional office Web site.

Police: Juveniles Found Spray Painting Graffiti in Mount Vernon

GRAFFITI, 4300 block of Lawrence Street, 3/16/13, 5:30 p.m. A resident reported juvenile boys were seen spray painting a fence. The owner was notified to remove the graffiti.

Clifton's award-winning Trummer's on Main will be serving up a no-doubt delectable meal for Easter Sunday, March 31. Patch took a peek at the menu and is sharing it here. The three-course dinner, to be served between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. is priced at $66 per person. Kids' menu options will be available for $25.
