The Fairfax County police officer from the Mason District station involved in last Thursday's fatal head-on crash remains hospitalized Monday at an area hospital.

Weekly Crime Report: Police Search for Peeping Tom Near Clermont Drive
Peeping, 12:35 a.m., Feb. 25, 5500 block of Clermont Drive, A 26-year-old reported she was in her bedroom when she saw a man looking through the window at her. A K-9 team and the helicopter assisted in searching for the man. No one was found.
Breaking and Entering, and Lorton and Fairfax Station Arrests
A Lorton woman is in custody after allegedly breaking into an area home and allegedly attempting to assault the homeowner. Celeste Jones, 30, was arrested and charged with burglary with the intent to assault after allegedly trying to break into a home in the 7500 block of Woodside Lane in Lorton.

The following tips on how to prevent personal property theft were provided by MPO Greg Kotteman at the Mount Vernon District Station:
- Always keep home doors locked at all times.
- Keep everything merry and bright - Remember to keep you exterior home lights turned on all night. (and off during the day)
- Consider using timers on interior lights so you don’t come home to a dark house.
- Keep garage doors closed and be sure the door from the garage into the home is locked. Don’t leave the garage door opener in the car parked in the driveway
The construction on Costco Wholesale is still on schedule and the store is slated to open in spring or early summer, said Supervisor Jeff McKay in a recent interview.
SFDC Marketing and Communications Director David Ben told Patch a few weeks ago that the ground at the location was being allowed to properly settle and the building itself won't take long to build.

It was snowy and rainy in Clifton and Fairfax Station on Wednesday. Patch was out taking pictures and we saw these four freshmen girls at Robinson Secondary School defending their snow fort from four Robinson Secondary sophomore boys.
Police Helicopter, K9 Unit Search for Burglar After Garage Entry at 4 AM
It's not the kind of thing anyone wants to hear in the middle of the night. But residents on the 12300 block of Falkirk Drive last Saturday awoke to the sound of their garage door opening at 4 a.m.
A purse was stolen and police searched the area using a helicopter and a K9 team but no one was found, according to Fair Oaks District Police.
