Everyone's favorite pig is turning 2 years old, so come out and celebrate with us! But Penny doesn't want her day to be just about her, so she's asking all of you to give her a gift by giving back and supporting the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
Representatives from AWLA will be on site to receive donations (monetary and material - see links at bottom for more info), as well as provide information and photos on their current adoptable animals. Plus, they'll have some special give-aways for kids and adults.
The
stylists of N2 Hair Salon and Day Spa in Landsdowne Center are graciously
donating two “style” gift bags to raffle off, one will contain a gift certificate good for a shampoo, cut and style, and the other will be good for a
shampoo, color, cut and style. Raffle
tickets will be sold for $1 and all monies will go to the Animal Welfare League
of Alexandria.
Also, what's a birthday party without sweet treats? Grounded Coffee Shop will be providing strawberry cupcakes FREE to our first 100 customers! They're also going to be celebrating at their location on Telegraph Road with a custom smoothie, Penny's Strawberries & Cream Birthday Smoothie, in honor of Penny. So guests to her Birthday Bash can look forward to receiving a coupon that will be good for $1 off Penny's themed smoothie!
Kids (and kids at heart) can join Miss Sue in making pink piggy party hats. And make sure to pick up some Piglet Grass or Pig Squeak plants so you can have a pig-in-a-pot!
