CatJam Group to Support Pancreatic Cancer Research

The performance will start at 8 p.m. at King Street Blues in Kingstowne.

Local musicians with the CatJam group perform a mixture of Bluegrass, folk and classic rock music every Thursday at King Street Blues in Kingstowne to donate to animal rescue. Occasionally, they perform for a different cause as they have done in the past to donate to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

This week, the CatJammers are performing to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer. Roy Eller, a King Street Blues family friend, lost his mother to the disease and the CatJammers' performance Thursday will benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Thursday's performance will start at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and there is no cover charge. The CatJammers perform for tips every Thursday night to benefit different charities. So come out to hear some good music and to support a good cause.
