Labor Day Weekend Fill the Boot for the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Help Fairfax County Firefighters assist those living with neuromuscular disease and their families in the Nothern Virginia and Washington D.C. area.

As they have for more than 30 years, Fairfax County firefighters will be at intersections all over the Fairfax County area during Labor Day weekend "Filling the Boot" to benefit the Greater Washington Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Greater Washington MDA assists people of all races, genders and cultural backgrounds manage and live with neuromuscular disease.  Your donations help fund durable medical devices such as wheelchairs and leg braces, a clinic at Georgetown Hospital and Childrens National Medical Center, a week long summer camp at no cost to the family where the special needs child can be with those like them and have a "normal" camp experience, research towards cures and many, many other benefits.
