PHOTOS: Halloween Pet Parades
Pet Supplies Plus and Greenspring put on two separate events Saturday.
Residents, staff, family and friends of Greenspring paraded their pets around Saturday for the 10th Annual Halloween Pet Parade. The residents showed off their dogs dressed as jesters, firefighters, pumpkins and bumblebees.
Pet Supplies Plus in Kingstowne also had a pet parade on Saturday. For the next week, photos of the pets in their costumes will be posted at the store. Customers will have the opportunity to vote for the best costume.
First place prize winner in the contest will receive a $25 gift card; second place winner will receive a $10 gift card. Winners will be announced on Nov. 3. Animal Allies, a volunteer organization based in Fairfax Station, was also on hand at the store along with Pet Rescue Alliance.
